Hello, my name is Daisy. I'm an incredibly wonderful dog who was dealt a bad hand in life. I am 4-5 years old. I am a purebred beagle and I LOVE people. Everyone tells me that I'm "such a sweetheart." I am friendly, so very loving and affectionate. I am also eager to please. One of my favorite things to do is snuggle with people on the couch. I have a happy, upbeat, endearing personality, plus I'm super cute. My smile is contagious and my tail is always wagging. I am learning to play with toys and everyone thinks it is so adorable when I bring a toy over with my big puppy-dog eyes and wagging tail.
I am heartworm positive and being treated for it now. Once I am heartworm negative, I will be spayed. I am current on vaccinations. I am living in foster care with three other dogs and getting along nicely. I am housetrained and crate trained. I even know how to use a doggy door (but only when people are home!). I am a very smart dog and a quick learner. I weigh about 35 lbs, but need to lose a couple. If you have room in your home and in your heart for a loving dog like me, please give me a chance. You'll be so glad you did! Adoption fee: $75 and includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, heartworm treatment, spay, 30 days of free pet insurance and microchip.

- Now through Friday, December 19: Fund & Supply Drive at Metro North Federal Credit Union, 4594 Pontiac Lake Rd, Waterford. Help Paws for Life Animal Rescue collect needed funds and supplies for the homeless pets in our care, just in time for the holidays. Our wish list is on our website, www.pawsforliferescue.org, and includes cans of wet cat and kitten food, scoopable litter, cat and dog toys, cat and dogs beds and more. Now through Dec. 19th, just bring donated items or funds to Metro North Federal Credit Union located at 4594 Pontiac Lake Rd in Waterford during regular business hours. All donations are tax deductible.
Adoption and Foster Care Application
Adoption Process:Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
