My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our three year old handsome boy named Buddy. Buddy is a Vizsla mix that loves everyone. Loves children and was raised around cats. Buddy is one of the happiest dogs. He loves everyone he meets and expects them to either wag their tail for him or bend down and give him hugs! Buddy and she best friend, Chloe, were surrender to our rescue after a lovely lady was forced to move in with her mom due to a divorce. She wants them both to get the very best of homes. He weighs about 40 pounds. If you have ever the expression " wouldn't hurt a fly", well that is Buddy. Buddy is in a foster home with other dogs, large and small. Buddy is completely house trained, neutered and heart worm negative. Buddy is ready to meet his new family and call someplace HOME!

If you are interested in giving Buddy a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you. Feel free to call Beverly with questions about the dogs at 901-651-6322 or Angela with questions about our adoption process at 203-909-8861.

Buddy's adoption donation is $495. He is currently living with a foster family in Tennessee. Buddy will travel to his new family by professional pet transport once he has been adopted. We use a weekly transport to the northeast and a twice monthly transport to the Chicago / Milwaukee areas.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
