Trenti's Story...
Hello world! Trenti here. Well I found myself in pretty rough shape roaming the streets of Trenton NJ. I was taken in to the shelter by some very kind hearted fellows. You see I was running in traffic and almost got run over. Whew!
I am now fully healthy and ready to go to my new home. I love toys, love to run and play and love my cookies! I walk well on leash, but could still use some more help on my obedience and manners. My foster mom said I am one happy guy that would make an active family a great pet. It is possible I live with the right female dog, actually my best buddy is a little Shiba Inu. It took us a while but we are now buddies. One thing is I am not willing to share my toys with other dogs, so it's important that any toys are put away at first. I can also live with children over the age of ten and who know how to respect the Akita breed. Please no cats.

If you're interested in giving this big happy fellow a place to call home, please go to our website at: www.bigeastakitarescue.net and fill out our online adoption application for Trenti.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trenti, a Toms River Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Toms River, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Toms River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toms River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toms River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toms River paves the way for another one to be saved.
