Meet Rambo, the athletic and smart Akita who is looking for an experienced Akita owner to give him the time and respect he needs to form a strong bond. Rambo comes from a local animal shelter along with his mother, Coco, after their owner lost their housing.

Rambo is a young, aloof male Akita who can be playful once he bonds with a person. He knows basic commands, loves playing with his toys, and enjoys zoomies in the yard. Due to his need to be the focus of the family, we are asking that Rambo go to a home with adults only and without other pets.

If you are an experienced Akita owner looking for a loyal and athletic companion, Rambo could be the perfect match for you.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application, home visit, vet and reference checks are mandatory. You must come to meet the dogs, most likely in NJ, with all household members. Adoption contract and adoption donation are required. You will be asked to sign a legally binding adoption contract. Our adoption donations are sliding scale depending upon the age and circumstances of the animal of interest.
