Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi – my name is Allie and I am looking for a loving home. I weigh only eleven pounds and am eight years old, but for a Shih Tzu that is still pretty young! I am at that great age where I am reliably house trained and do not chew on shoes! I love to snuggle by your side, watch TV with you and cheer for your team. I especially enjoy going for walks to help you get your exercise and love to savor the many smells of the marvelous outdoor world. I get along well with other small dogs and love to play. I love playing tag with my foster mom and fetching my toys. I do appreciate sleeping on my foster mom’s bed but my kennel is my safe place. If you have to leave me alone for a while I will miss you but will not have an accident. I am a pretty quiet dog, but will bark a warning at other dogs. I know my basic commands, but I like to decide if it is a real command or just a suggestion. Although my body is small, my heart is big. I show my love by wagging my tail, snuggling and happily greeting you at the door. When I came into foster care I had bladder stones, but a special diet dissolved the stones. To stay healthy, I will always need a special maintenance diet to prevent bladder stones in the future. The special food does not cost more than regular dog food. I would like a quiet home with all adults – no children, please. I would just like to be in a home filled with love and with a family who is calm and patient with me.
Allie is healthy, spayed, current on vaccinations and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $220.00 plus $16.01 sales tax for a total of $236.01. Her foster mom would like her adopters to live within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and would like for them to attend the Shih Tzu Reunion held in June every year.
