Henry's Story...
Hello, I'm handsome Henry! My owners had me for 17 years and then they left me at the shelter. Although I'm 17 years old, you would never know it! I love to play and my favorite thing is to explore outside! I'm deaf and partially blind, but once I scope a place out, I get around very well. I love cuddling up right next to you, and I'll give you a bunch of kisses, too! Will you give an old (but young at heart) guy a chance and give him his forever home? If you are interested in Henry, please complete an application at www.seniordoghaven.org. If you have any questions, please email info@seniordoghaven.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henry, a Wilmington Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
