My name is Jackson! I am between one and two years old and weigh 13 pounds. I have a thick crème colored coat with tan markings. I got lost or was purposely left in the country, and a nice farmer found me. Luckily for me, he brought me to an animal shelter where I was safe and got some TLC. I was very hungry and so full of burrs that the vet could not tell what breed of dog I was at first, but I am definitely a Shih Tzu! I had a short haircut to get rid of all of the mats, snarls and burrs, and now I look so handsome! I love to eat and go for walks and am very cuddly with my foster parents. I like to sit by them on the sofa and sleep quietly right next to them at night in their bed. I get along well with my foster dog sisters too. I am housetrained and dance on my back legs for a treat! I am sooo happy when my foster mom comes home from work and I jump around, wag my tail, and give her kisses. I am also very quiet, hardly ever bark and ride contentedly in the car. I just want to be near my foster family and am eager to please them. Will you consider welcoming me into your family so I can have a real family of my own?
Jackson is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $370.00 plus $26.92 for a total of $396.92. His foster mom would like his adoptive home to be within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and would also encourage them to attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in June each year.
