IKE's Story...
My name is Ike and I am an 8 yr. old beagle boy that was found abandoned in an apartment when my previous owners decided to move. I was left behind like an old slipper and brought to a local shelter before being rescued by Penny Angels Beagle Rescue. I don’t know what I did to deserve being treated that way, but I know that things can only get better from here. I am housetrained and weigh about 20 lbs., but I do occasionally get an attitude about things. It would be best for me to be placed in an adult home with understanding people. We all have had some hard times in our past, but I’m hoping that the right family comes along and gives me better memories for my future. Please contact Penny Angels if you would like to learn more about me.

An adoption application for Ike can be obtained by visiting our web site at If you have any questions, please contact or, or call Penny Angels Beagle Rescue at 609-965-9476. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

IKE, a Ventnor City Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Ventnor City, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Ventnor City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ventnor City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ventnor City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ventnor City paves the way for another one to be saved.
