Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zorro is a shy, snugly and sweet, 18-month-old, five-pound, blonde and white long-haired, male Chihuahua looking for a loving guardian.
Zorro means fox in Spanish … and while this tiny little Zorro wears no cape and mask, he is just as dashing and fox-like in his handsomeness.
Once Zorro warms up to someone, he is all in! He is full of kisses and will jump in your lap. He is crate-trained and working on his housebreaking. He is looking for a patient dog-lover to take him under their wing to continue his training, love him and boost his confidence.
While he hasn’t met any cats yet, he is wonderful with the two other little dogs living in his foster home.
Zorro was rescued by a Chicago Police officer after a concerned citizen noticed a bunch of Chihuahuas crated in an abandoned car. Poor little Zorro had bite marks and was emaciated. Famous Fido’s stepped in to make sure he was vetted and cared for. He is now very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested.
To meet and possibly adopt him, please fill in an adoption application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting his foster mom Lauren at lnbarone@gmail.com or 630-253-1234, or Famous Fido adoption & development director at martha.j.hack@gmail.com or 773-690-2881. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs and cats of Famous Fido Rescue. Zorro is being fostered in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
