Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Coco is as sweet as his name! He loves everyone and every dog. He is four years old, weighs 15 pounds, and has the most beautiful mahogany brown eyes you’ve ever seen! His coat is a stunning reddish brown (to match his eyes) and white. He has the most expressive face - sometimes he looks so worried and concerned and other times just so excited for a treat!
He wants to be near his person and loves to sit close and cuddle. Coco also enjoys toys. At his foster home he goes to the toy basket and digs very thoroughly until he finds the one he wants and he carries it around and squeaks it. He is so happy if someone with throw it for him to go and get it! Coco also likes to play wrestle with his foster brother and sister. He is really a playful boy. Running in the leaves in his foster mom’s backyard is so much fun for him….and sniff sniff sniff….so many great things to find under the leaves.
Coco came into our rescue with horrible skin and allergy issues. He has made an amazing improvement with the help of our veterinary allergist/dermatologist. Coco’s skin is healthy now and his hair is growing back. He doesn’t have to suffer and scratch anymore. He will probably need to take a prescription medication for dermatitis for the rest of his life. His foster mom just puts the pill in his food and he eats it. He is a very cooperative boy. He is good with older, well-mannered children and is house trained.
Coco is neutered, current on vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $320.00 plus $23.38 sales tax. His foster mom will adopt Coco within 60 miles of Minnetonka, MN and she requests that the new owner please attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion each year in June.
Before contacting Shih Tzu Rescue of Minnesota regarding any dog, please thoroughly read the Adoption Information at http://www.shihtzurescuemn.org/adopt.html first to help you understand the process, requirements and timeline for adoption. You will also find an online adoption application there. To meet Coco and other dogs available for adoption from Shih Tzu Rescue of Minnesota, please visit with us from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Minnetonka Petco near Ridgedale the last Saturday of every month.
