Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID
Bald is BEAUTIFUL!
Chip, a 5 year old purebred Chinese Crested came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when his human could no longer care for him. He is now in search of a new home that knows the breed and that can not only love him with their whole heart but that can care for him in the proper manner.
This handsome boy loves to hang out with his foster family and he will curl up on a dog bed next to you or in your lap is his favorite. He is just the sweetest boy, gentle and loving and he likes to give kisses. If you talk to him he will talk right back and tell you all about his day. While he does really like people his tolerance level is low for kids; so a home with kids 12 and older only please.
He is good with other dogs and is being fostered with 3 others; he’s been great with all of them; he loves to play chase with them. Chip spent some time in a home with a cat and did fine until the cat gave him a good swat and then he was more interested in the cat. He would do fine with a cat that was dog savvy and played the ignore card.
Chip is housetrained with regular potty breaks and is crate trained and is very polite on the leash and when taking a treat. He has excellent house manners and is easy to live with. Chip will do best in a home with someone who is home during the day or is home on and off during the day. Chip is very fast and will require a yard with a fence of at least 5 feet as he is able to jump quite high
Chip has some skin issues as most dogs of this breed usually do. When he came to us he was covered in acne and his skin was leathery feeling; however with a change in his diet (grain free only); a good bath and a regular dose of 100% organic coconut oil he is already showing signs of improvement. With the proper care and right food Chips skin will clear up with time.
Chip will need to go to a family that knows and understands what this breed needs with regard to his diet and bathing. A home that has had or currently has Cresteds will be considered first for adoption.
Chip is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped
If you can offer Chip a lifetime of happiness and the special care he needs please fill out the application for him at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and his foster Mom will get back to you quickly.
