Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We're so glad that Marley was able to stay safe as he wandered through the streets of Houston, Texas as a stray. Her safety became questionable when she was picked up and slated for euthanasia in an extremely overcrowded Texas shelter. No way that Farfel's could let that happen to this stunning miniature Parti (black and white) Poodle shi tzu mix with the great temperament! Parti Poodles are very rarely found in shelter situations as they're considered unusual and very desirable. (We've only found 2 prior to Marley that have been in danger). We wonder why great dogs like this fall through the cracks. Arrangements were quickly made...and Marley left the shelter just in the nick of time. This truly beautiful (in dire need of a bath and a serious haircut..will update with new photo as soon as we receive one) 1-2 year old Poodle (with maybe just a touch of Shih Tzu in there for added cuteness) left all the pain and misery of his previous life behind as he acclimated to the security of a home, great nutrition and lots of love & belly rubs! We found...to our delight...
Marley would do best in a home with a retiree who is home most of the time. Marley does get along with other dogs, but we believe she likes to be the only dog in her household and because we feel Marley deserves exactly what she wants, that is what we want to give her. Marley loves to snuggle on blankets and just hang out for the day. She also loves to chase toys around the house once she trusts her environment.
As is clear in Marley's pitiful shelter photo...her gorgeous coat has been uncared for for too long a time. Farfel's will be happy to cover the cost of a spa day for Marley...she deserves it and will emerge as the gorgeous Poodle she is under all those matts and shelter filth. Marley is a non-shedding, hypoallergenic girl and will therefore require regular grooming and great nutrition to keep his cotton-soft coat healthy and matt-free.
