My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petey is an adorable & loving 50lb ball of energy looking for his forever home. At just 1 year old his playful nature will make you forgo all responsibility to spend all your time with this big mush! No one can resist giving Petey all their attention because of his contagious energy and his adorable head tilt. Petey is not only great with people but gets along with other dogs too! He will play for hours if you let him, but also knows when to shy away from more aggressive dogs.

In addition to being an affectionate animal, Petey is also a quick learner. While in his foster home he's learned sit, down, stay, come, & how to wait for food. He is also crate trained. He will willingly enter the crate at the word crate, is very quiet, and will wait patiently to be let out. He's also a great driving companion and is extremely calm in the car, despite having so much energy normally.

Petey still has many puppy qualities and is curious about what everyone is doing and never wants to miss out on anything! He is easily excited by people, noises, and other dogs and sometimes forgets his manners. When excited he also gets pretty mouthy which makes us think he would do well in a home without young children. He would really benefit from some quality training to curb his mouthy-ness and strengthen what he's already learned.

Petey is a great dog that deserves a wonderful home that will continue to provide him with the exercise, socialization, and stimulation he needs.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Petey
