This precious little pup is Beau, a 10 year old long haired chihuahua that would just love a great home and fresh start in his life. Beau had a home for many years but when the rent was about to go up in order to keep him, his owner turned him in. Beau is beside himself with grief but he is receiving lots of extra love and attention and he knows that everything will be alright. Beau is missing a front leg but gets around very well. He was attacked by another dog at some point and when the injury was left untreated, it became infected, turned into gangrene, and had to be amputated. He also has dental disease that was left untreated, so we will need to remove most of his teeth. Despite all that, Beau is an absolute lovebug that is extremely sweet, friendly, and outgoing. He whines for attention and just wants to be held more than anything. Beau doesn't know much about walking on a leash but he is learning quickly and is very polite. He just wants to be a lap dog and would be content to take an all day snooze in a warm, cozy lap. Beau gets along fine with other well behaved dogs and tolerates cats. He will need a home with no children under the age of 10. Beau is hoping to get the loving home that he deserves where he will be cherished by his family, and never given up again. File#24160 11/25/14
