Ashlei came into rescue pregnant, along with ten other Akitas, from a backyard breeding situation in rural SC. Ashlei is approximatley 2-3 years old with a lush gorgeous deep red and white coat that she wears proudly. Ashlei loves people, however she is not one to tolerate other dogs. She walks like a dream on leash, knows some commands, and is housebroken. Ashlei would do well in an adult-only, secure fenced-in home that understands the nature of the breed and its needs.
It is possible that this Akita can live with cats, however as expected with any new dog, she would need time and proper introductions to help make this workable.
