Handsome Red Boy is an approximately one-year-old male Akita who comes into rescue from an indescriminant breeding situation in SC along with ten other Akitas. Red Boy is believed to be the son of Hunter and Mouse who are also listed. RB is stunning, large, powerful, and very active. He is a good natured and loving boy who lacks basic manners and obedience. We are working to help him prepare for his new home. I think we should've named him Red Bull instead of Red Boy :)
Like a bull in a china closet, Red Boy can be a handful, so it's important that he goes to a home with owners that are strong enough and dedicated enough to ensure he stays on the right track going forward. RB would do best in a home that is active. He will need a secured 6 ft fenced-in yard and an owner that is patient and willing to work with him. If you do not have the time or dedication this is not the right Akita for your home.
