Do not let the grey on my face fool you as I am a youngster at heart. I am around 6-7 years old but I do not act my age since I am always on the go. I love car rides, going on walks and playing fetch which by the way I am really good at it. I also love stuff toys to carry around and I do not rip them apart. I am also a big fan with loving on you. I tend to be more comfortable with women but I can warm up to men if they like to spend time with me. I would need a home as an only pet and no children either. I am looking for a family that does not have a hectic life and enjoy taking their dog on car rides and walks. When I was saved from the shelter and came to this rescue group I got neutered, all of my shots, I even got my teeth cleaned and now I have a pretty smile with fresh breath. The nice rescue people are looking for either a temporary foster home or a furever family for me. Do you think you have room in your life for a guy like me to make you smile, I promise I will give you all my love in return for being part of your family. PS, I am house trained and crate train but I do prefer big fluffy beds and I have nice house manners. I will be waiting for you to come take me home soon and thank you for wanting to give an older guy like me a chance.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopting a German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies Dog

We would like to thank you for visiting our website and considering one of our adoptable dogs to become your new family member. All of our dogs have been tossed aside for various reasons and our goal is to find them one last home where they can live out the rest of their lives with love and happiness. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we hope to be able to rescue many dogs every year. We place our dogs in a daycare facility so we can observe their social behavior and then into a foster home to learn house manners and teach them basic obedience. After we get to know our dogs we interview each candidate to find the right home that will fit each dog’s personality and needs. We will provide the necessary vet care, bring them up-to-date on vaccinations as well as spay or neuter our dogs. We will work with our rescue dogs that need a little help to trust and love people again, meanwhile improving their social behavior. We will stay involved and be there for each adopted dog for the duration of its life.

The adoption fee for our dogs is $300, which includes a veterinary heath examination, up-to-date vaccinations, a micro-chip, dogs will be spayed or neutered, they will come with a dog collar, and ID tag. Senior dog adoption fees will be posted separately for each dog.

If you see a dog on our website that you would like to meet, please fill out the Adoption Application and one of our volunteers will contact you.
