Hello World!
My name is Dexter and my Mom says I’m a perfect bichon boy. She says I’m a happy, friendly, lovable, handsome and adorable bichon boy of four who is all that and ‘just plain cute!’ (You see I have already worked my charm on her – and I wasn’t even trying very hard!)
When I came to Mom’s house, it wasn’t long before she fell in love. I’m just a sweet boy who loves everyone. Why I even peacefully co-exist with ‘the big dog’ – and she is not the easiest to get along with either! (Mom says I’ve charmed her as well – and that few dogs could do what I have done. Thanks, Mom!)
I’m friendly with everyone and get excited to fetch or play with my toys. Speaking of which, I recently discovered how much fun it is to chase little balls. When you throw them for me I run and get them then (drum roll please!) I bring them back to you for more fun. I also like little toys that squeak and will carry them around and then into my crate. At the moment, my favorite toy is a stuffed monkey that squeaks. I like to carry him in my mouth, taking him from room to room - and make him squeak. Sometimes I just bring him up on the couch with me and keep him close. I’m also a little guy who likes to share my toys. If I can't play with one, I will quickly pick out another one to play with. I’m just an easy-going, fun-loving little guy!
Mom says I am a natural ‘meeter and greeter.’ I put my paws gently on their legs to ask for a pet- and. will come to anyone who gets down low and asks me to come over. And I am especially gentle with children.
I also love my crate, love car rides and will settle right down and rest when you drive. I’m happy to wait (like a gentleman) when you run in somewhere and I do the Bichon “Pattycake " when you return. Mom says I come when I’m called and am very trainable. She likes to watch me sit in the sun and bask like a cat. I kind of perch on the kitchen window seat and just sit there, watching and relaxing----and very regal. Then I will decide to play and run over and get my toy and take it around to various places --maybe the couch, or my crate, or the entry way. Mom says I really amuse myself (and her) and that I loves attention, but I’m not demanding!
