Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello Families! My name is Khloe and I am a 2 year old yellow female weighing 60 lbs. I was left at a shelter at the night drop but some really nice people from SCLRR came and got me out of there because I was not feeling well. I was recently spayed and had a hematoma removed on my left ear. I have recovered nicely! I am a happy go lucky kind of girl and my foster parents say that I am extremely sweet. I will always greet you with my wagging tail – that is just the type of girl I am. My favorite thing in the whole world is to put my head on your lap for special head rubs. Or sometimes I am trying to be a lap dog. I will never say no to belly rubs either. My foster parents say that I am truly loving and affectionate and I really love my people. I love my foster family which includes a 9 year old yellow male Lab and a 5 yr old Chihuahua. We get along famously.
My foster Mom is super active and takes me on long walks three times a day. She takes me everywhere: we go to Starbucks, the beach and all over the neighborhood. I would prefer to go to an active family that will exercise me regularly. I LOVE going out for walks or hikes. I would make a great jogging partner. I have good leash manners. Oh well, maybe not perfect…if I see another dog coming my way I get all excited and I REALLY want to meet him. I also love to play with my toys – I sometimes even play by myself throwing them around and chasing them – usually when I have exhausted my fur brother and sister! I have been known to counter surf but I correct easily. I probably didn’t have much training before I was rescued but I am a very fast learner.
I love my foster home and I would love to have a permanent home before the Holidays! I am looking for an active home where someone would be home most of the day or working from home. I just love being with people so much that I feel that would be the best environment for me. At night, I sleep in my own bed at or in a crate.
I have been a good girl and deserve a great family – that is what I wrote in my letter to Santa Claus this year! So please contact SCLRR for the best present you could have – that would be me!
