Who's big and white with a jolly ol' soul? Lincoln, a big beautiful Great Pyr and the only thing on his wish list is love, love and more love!! This truly Gentle Giant was given up by a family who kept him alone in their yard 24/7. Lincoln is a super friendly, loving boy who loves to stay by someone's side, so he was miserable being isolated from everyone in the yard and would try to break out of the fence in search of human companionship (we think his pink nose is the permanent reminder of how he tried to dig out under the fence). Companionship wasn't the only thing that family didn't give Lincoln: he was matted, thin and he was also heartworm positive. Thank goodness they surrendered him to the right group!!
Lincoln is now healthy, groomed and heartworm free!! He is living INSIDE a home with kids, dogs and cats where there is not shortage of love and attention!! He is gentle with everyone -- a teddy bear who is equally eager to be the cuddler or the "cuddlee"!!! He makes it pretty clear when he thinks it's time to be petted again: if you are sitting he will take his paw or use his nose to nudge your arm to get your attention! He LOVES to be brushed and leash walked, rides very well in the car, and thinks that the best place to sit is right in your lap!! He plays very well with other dogs of any size . . . and one is only 3 pounds!! Lincoln is just happy to be alive and included -- a real sweetheart who deserves to be treated like a Prince this time around. We think he's about 4 years old, he weighs about 90 pounds and he's a healthy boy.
