Meet Sprite!
Sprite, an 8-month-old, 10-lb. miniature poodle mix, is just as her name suggests. Her foster mom named her Sprite because she has long legs to run fast and jump up on the couch with ease!
This sweet girl is lithe, springy, playful and loves to run, jump, play and make you smile. Sprite loves playing with her canine foster siblings, and she loves to play fetch with squeaky tennis balls. And like any little dog, she's happy to snuggle beside you and watch TV. And she doesn't take up much room in the bed!
Sprite is doing great with potty training. Only one accident! While we don't know this girl's history before she came to Canine Cupids, we do know that she takes a while to warm up to new people, and right now prefers women and girls. She does well around older kids, and prefers to be held or hang out under furniture until she's comfortable with meeting her new visitors. She didn't seem overly excitable around kitties. She'll need a patient forever home that is happy to give her the time she needs to get comfortable. Is it yours?
Sprite’s adoption fee is $300 and she’s located in Milwaukee, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
