My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi People,
My name is Erica and I’m 8 pounds of sweetness and affection in a very cute little body. Although I’m only one year old, I’m not the crazy puppy kind of furkid. Rather I’m a quiet, mellow little lovebug who prefers a lap (to sit in) to a lap (to run.)
My foster Mom says I’m the biggest snuggler she has ever met. She gives me an A++ in Snuggling. Why, I’d be happy to stay on her lap (or anyone else’s) all day long… except for when I get up in the morning. That’s my time to do my sprint, running all over the house and yard in gleeful anticipation of the day ahead.
With my doggy foster brothers, I’m friendly and engaging. I’m not interested in their toys however I like to lay in their beds with them. Because we are together Dad says I don’t have that thing called separation anxiety. He says they take care of me and I feel protected – and that’s just fine with me!
While I don’t play with toys, I do have this really neat game I do with my human sister. She ‘growls’ at me – and I look right at her and bark back. Then she growls at me again and I… well, you’ve got the idea, right?
I come when I’m called, know my name and am working on other commands. I’m almost housebroken (honest, I haven’t broken anything!) and am crate trained. I’m getting used to children and learning that people can be very kind. That’s helping me get over my shyness – and I'm learning to trust that people will take care of me, just like Mom and Dad.
While I am special in many ways, there is one other way thing my Aunties want you to know. I was born with kind of funky back legs. I went to see the specialist and she agreed that I won’t do five mile runs – but that I’m not in pain and do not need surgery. I just need short walks, time to run and buzz -- and a lap to sleep in.
So if you are looking for a wee tiny girl filled with love and wonder, have another furkid or two at home, then please ask for me.
Tail wags and snuggles.
Enticing and Entrancing Erica
