Tonka's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Tonka's Story...
Tonka is an absolutely beautiful 3 year old chow chow who is looking for a forever home. We were told by his former owner that he is good with kids, dog, and cats.

A $175.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, microchipped and vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tonka, a Staunton Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
