Henry's Story...

Henry

Henry is a handsome and very affectionate, English style Labrador. He is about 4 years old and 65 pounds. He is very loving and just looking for the right family to adopt him.

Overall Henry has a pretty laid back disposition. When he gets excited, he can be like a giant puppy - bounding around the house and can get a bit clumsy. Henry gets along well with other dogs and, if his huge paws are any indication, may be a born swimmer. He is housebroken and crate trained. He loves to take walks and is great at playing fetch.

Henry is well behaved at dinner time. He loves, loves loves his treats and takes them really enthusiastically! He still needs some training to take treats gently, so would probably be better with children over about 10 or 12 years old. Henry seems to like cats a lot... probably a little bit TOO much. He thinks that kitties are really great toys that squeak when you squeeze them ;-) so no kitties in his new home.

Henry is a great Lab with lots of love to give.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henry, a Coppell Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Coppell, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Coppell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coppell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coppell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coppell paves the way for another one to be saved.
