Harold is a very nice, quiet boy who is the quintessential lap dog. He is just a little guy, weighing only ten pounds, and is eight years old. He is happiest when around people, especially one person he can bond with. He likes the company of adults or older respectful children and tends to pick one person and shadow them where ever they go. He is a great snuggler who loves to nap at your side and has few demands beyond that. His gentle and loving personality is very characteristic of this wonderful breed. He would be a perfect companion to someone who is retired or works from home. He is house broken and a really quiet house guest. He would love to sleep next to you at night. He likes other dogs and cats and would enjoy their company if you did have to leave for short periods. He also likes to go on car rides and would be happy being your co-pilot in errands and adventures. He is not a lover of the cold and does not like to stay out for very long in cold weather. He pretty much will do his business fast and then zip in to be covered in a blanket to warm up.
Harold is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, is on heart worm preventative, and is micro chipped. His adoption fee is $220.00 plus sales tax. Harold’s foster family would like him to live within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities. They would also like Harold and his new family to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion which is held each year on the third weekend in June.
To meet Harold and other dogs available for adoption from Shih Tzu Rescue of Minnesota, please visit with us from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Minnetonka Petco near Ridgedale the last Saturday of every month.
