My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LINCOLN UPDATE 2/8/15!! Lincoln is doing great at training on the farm! He has been working on basic manners, especially jumping up. In the few days he's been working on that, he has already shown improvement. He's also been working on commands like come, sit, stay, and place. He's food motivated and for the most part gives you all of his attention when you have a treat for him. He's working on down, but has been a bit more stubborn with that command. He's also working on walking nicely on a leash. Lincoln is definitely active, and he plays hard. He would do well with an active family who can match his energy level and would be committed to continuing his training. Because he's an active, energetic dog, a home with young kids would probably not be a good fit for him, but he would do fine with older kids. Lincoln is a very affectionate boy who is just an all around happy dog. Meet Lincoln, a sweet, energentic 1.5 to 2 year old lab/pointer mix. He was found as a stray in the Savannah area this past summer living in a parking lot in the heat with no shade, water or food. He was brought to a local veterinarian office by a good samaritan and nursed back to health. Lincoln has been with the vets office ever since, so they asked LFS to help find him his forever home. Lincoln will arrive at LFS tomorrow and we would really like to have a foster home for him to go to since he's been in boarding for so long. He is good with kids and gets along with other dogs well, but he likes to chase cats, so he needs a home that is cat free. If you can foster Lincoln, please email Christie at labfriendchristie@gmail.com and stay tuned for more updates about Lincoln!

LINCOLN UPDATE / FOSTER PLEA! Lincoln still needs a foster home. He is a 55lb. 1.5 - 2 year old lab/pointer mix who is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle. He is GREAT with kids and loves to be with his people - no cats though as he thinks it's fun to chase them. Lincoln likes to be the center of attention when other dogs are around so he would do best in a foster or permanent home with a mellow, submissive dog who would be ok with that, or as an only dog. Lincoln was rescued from the streets of Savannah over the summer and has been in boarding (with a few brief breaks from it) ever since. He is a young, active dog that would be a fabulous hiking or running partner - a perfect match for an active family. He LOVES to be around people and needs to be out of a boarding run and in a home. If you can foster Lincoln, please email Christie @ labfriendchristie@gmail.com. If you are interested in adopting Lincoln, please complete the adoption application at the link below.
