Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID
Meet Buddy a 3 year old, 60 pound lap Pitty who is just a s a big ol’ goofball of a dog! He has the sweetest, loving heart who likes to cuddle and play with his doggie friends. He greets everyone me meets with a wag and a “smile.” He loves a good belly rub and the boy is crazy about balls and toys. This is one happy, silly, fun Pitbull.
Buddy loves people! He needs a family that wants him to be very close and will make him an important part of the family. He would do best in a home with older kids, probably age 10+ due to his zest for life; he can be a bit of a rough player and would easily knock over a little one (remember he thinks he’s a lap dog).
He plays great with other dogs, no matter the size, if it’s a dog smaller than him, he plays at that dog’s level and is gentle in his play with them. If another dog wants left alone, he’s great at reading that and leaving the dog alone too.
Buddy pulls on a leash and needs more work on commands, such as off when you don’t want him on the bed or couch. He wants to try to get out of doors when opening them too, so the wait command will be important. He rides great in a car, he just sits down and is quiet, and he seems to want to just go anywhere you want to go.
This guy is not a fan of being in the kennel but will go in with treats. He’s a pretty quiet boy and no one has heard a bark out of him; but he does make some Chewbacca like sounds when in the kennel. He really seems to especially like men but he’s just a big ol lovey boy all around and will bond with anyone. He just wants love and cuddles.
He doesn’t play too much with toys and his energy level isn’t very high either, he’s pretty mellow. He would do well with someone that has another dog that wants to play with him or someone that will take him for play dates (of course his foster sister Daisy would love to have some play dates with him).
Buddy needs to go home with someone who:
1. Will commit to a good obedience class. He obeys multiple obedience commands and is a good boy already. But in a class with a great trainer you’ll learn how to bring out the very best in him!
2. Will play with him every day. He’s all about the fun; he loves to romp in the yard and play with his people and other dogs.
3. Will allow him to live indoors with the family he will adore. Buddy is the kind of dog that absolutely wants and needs to be where his people are, he wants on laps when on the couch and has to cuddle very close up high on the bed at night. Wherever you are he wants to be there lending a paw.
4. Will make sure he always has a supply of toys. Very durable toys, otherwise he’ll demolish them in a matter of minutes. You definitely don’t want him to ingest plastic, rope, or stuffing.
Buddy has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
