Charlie's Story...
I was rescued with 5 other dogs from a situation where we were neglected horribly. I was left in a basement of an unoccupied house and the person who owned the house only came one or two days a week to feed me. I'm a little shy at first but with time and patience I'm going to be a warm and loving dog. I bark alot at strangers but once I'm sure you're OK I'm fine. Given my situation and since no one walked me or let me out on a regular basis I'm probably going to need some help with housebreaking I'd be OK with older kids and maybe some other dogs but no cats for me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Washingtonville Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Washingtonville, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Washingtonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washingtonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washingtonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washingtonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
