Hello, my name is Celeste. I'm the beauty queen of Happy Cats, a stunning cinnamon point Siamese mix lady with sky blue eyes.
I came here when my family's life got too chaotic and I had to be given up. I was so traumatized when I first came that I almost stopped eating. Happy Cats worked really hard to show me that people could be trusted again, so now I'm much better.
I'm still very shy at first, waiting until I'm sure someone will be kind before I come out. At my foster mom's house, I got to where I met her at the door with a conversation, ready for pets and purrs. I love to roll over on my side and get my ears scratched, purring up a storm. I will probably blossom even more as long as you don't push me by picking me up or petting me too hard.
I may always have a high startle response and need some coaxing to know that it's safe to interact. Right now, I'm on an anti-anxiety drug that helps me with my fear. I was weaned off it at my foster home, though, so could probably do the same at my forever home.
My favorite thing in the world is playtime. At a little over 2 years old, I love to play and pounce just like a kitten. Get out just about anything on a string (or even just a string!) and I'm ready to go!
I found my BFF here in Romeo, another sweet kitty who has taught me that it's safe to play with him. He also helps me be brave with new people, since he really likes to hang out with people too. I may do OK with another shy, sweet cat who gives me my own space, but no dogs or small children, please.
I can be adopted for $125, which includes my spay, vaccinations, microchip, negative virus test, food and litter starter kit, a month of insurance and a free vet visit voucher. Happy Cats would like to see me and Romeo adopted together, so there's a special that lets him come home with me for half off. Won't you find room in your hearts for both of us?
