Onyx's Story...
Onyx is a young 3 year old, 58 pound Black Labrador Retriever. He is a typical lab and loves attention.
Onyx hasn’t met a critter or person he doesn’t like, he even cuddles cats. Onyx’s wants a forever home
with a family to call his own. He’d love some other critters and kids to play with. He needs a fenced in
yard so he can run and play.
Onyx would make a great family dog. He is house trained and has never had an accident in his foster
home. He likes car rides and does well on a leash. Onyx has never gotten into anything in his foster
home. He would make a great walking or jogging buddy. Onyx loves new experiences and is very
intelligent.
Onyx is more than ready to be in his forever home! He is micro-chipped, neutered, heartworm negative,
and up to date on shots. The adoption application can be completed at www.furfunrescue.org. For

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Onyx, a Lisbon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lisbon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lisbon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lisbon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lisbon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lisbon paves the way for another one to be saved.
