Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lupe! She is about 4 yrs old and 6 lbs and she was rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control where she ended up there as a stray. The vet believes she has a lesion on her spinal chord which results in some neurological abnormalities. She is off all medications, but she currently sees a veterinary chiropractor for monthly treatments. She is not "normal" in her behavior and probably never will be, but she is still lovable. She has had seizures since she has been in our care, but if she is fed on a regular schedule and sees her chiro once a month she does wonderfully. She is on a raw diet and we recommend that her new adopters continue her on this diet. She does great with pottying when taken out on a regular schedule. She will also use potty pads. She can do stairs, but isn't the best at them and sometimes needs help going up or down. She sometimes likes to play with toys and loves hopping around the yard. She has had a full blood panel done, a dental cleaning, and an MRI, which the new adopter would have access to obtain the results of these. Please consider adding Lupe to your family. She has had a rough start, but has a lot of love to give. Lupe's adoption fee of $125 goes towards the cost of her medical care and vetting.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the "Adoption Process" tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested ( as appropriate), fecal tested, and microchipped.
