Bandito's Story...
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Bandito is a lovely, young adult border collie mix who spend several months in a local pound. After testing positive for heart worm disease, they decided to put him to sleep if a rescue did not take him. Bandito was saved by ADA and has been treated for heart worm disease. He seems to be an easy going, friendly guy who gets along with other dogs. He almost lost his life in a pound but is now ready to live it up in a forever home!

$175.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, microchipped and vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandito, a Staunton Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
