Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bogart looks like a Havanese, but of course, we don't really know his breed(s). He weighs about 11 pounds and is a little over one year old. Bogie came to us from an Atlanta-area Animal Control facility. He was brought there after being hit by a car. Bogie's owners never reclaimed him, and he needed medical attention, so he was released to us more than 2 months ago. At that time, Bogie had a broken leg and pelvis.
Dr. Whittle, at Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic operated and put a pin in Bogie's leg and then Bogie was kept confined for 6 weeks while his pelvis and fractured leg healed. After that time, the pin was removed, and Bogie was again x-rayed to see how his leg and hip had healed. The x-rays indicated that there was not enough of a socket in the pelvis to secure the leg in the joint, so little Bogie had to undergo another surgery. Bogie is now up and running again. He should have 95% of the use of his leg.
Bogie is adorable, loving and sweet-natured. He'd love a home with another pet or active family with a fenced yard. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is heartworm-free. Bogie's adoption fee is $350.
