Precious (4 pounds)'s Story...
Precious is a 7 year old, tiny, sweet Chihuahua. She came to us from a Houston shelter with her (at the time) bonded partner. She suffered from some type of infection that essentially was dissolving her mouth. Her lips had been symmetrically eaten away, she had lost all her front teeth, and the septum is gone that kept her nose anchored to her mouth. With some basic care (a smart veterinarian) and a few antibiotics, it is now under control! She has had a dental cleaning and is getting spayed this week. She is making progress each and every day and even started using the doggie door this week! YAY Precious!!!!! She is such an exceptional girl that we believe was so worth the save. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Precious (4 pounds), a College Station Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in College Station, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in College Station.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in College Station already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a College Station breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in College Station paves the way for another one to be saved.
