My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arrival story: Bowie arrived at Waggin' Tails with his best pal Teeko after their humans sadly became ill and could no longer care for them. Originally both dogs were adopted together in 2011 to the same home after arriving from different shelters. Bowie and Teeko are a bonded pair and we will adopt them as a pair.

Approximate age / weight: 5 years old and 55 lbs.

Personality: Bowie is a strikingly beautiful Siberian Husky, with distinctive eyes, one brown and one blue. He is affectionate, friendly and mild mannered, and enjoys playing with his best pal, Teeko. Bowie has good house manners, is good at the vet, rides nicely in the car, and knows some commands.

Forever home: We will be adopting Bowie and Teeko as a bonded pair. They have become the best of pals in the 4 years since they were adopted together originally through Waggin' Tails. Both would like an active home. We think that older kids would be ok.

Contact: Please contact wtdr2008

for more info on Teeko (and Bowie)!

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - Adoption Process Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of
$225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies -
$125 senior dogs (9 years +)
$275 for small breed dogs
$250 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
