Meet Fudgy - otherwise known as Mr Wonderful - one of the sweetest & most patient doxie mixes you'll ever have the pleasure of knowing. He's ~18 months old, weighs ~24 lbs, and is the most stunning brindle chocolate color. He recently underwent surgery due to what we can only guess is a run-in with a car. But that's not slowing Fudgy down. OH NO!!! He quickly healed & is ready for his new family. He is HW+, but we are treating him for that as well. This sweet little guy has proven himself to be a real charmer...he's got the patience of Job with young children, loves other dogs, even likes the family cat. You will be amazed at what a good babysitter he is. All he wants to do is please.

If you are interested in adopting Fudgy, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Fudgy 's adoption fee is $300. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Fudgy will go to his new home microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
