Awe what to say about Rudy the 6 month old Dachshund mix; not sure what he is mixed with – bat maybe, just look at those ears!
This boy is just a bundle of energy and full of fun; he is all puppy all the time and just a nice boy. He can be a bit shy with strangers and of sudden movements but he is getting better and when he is comfortable he is all about the play. He will cuddle when he gets tired and if he is really scared of something he likes to be hugged.
Rudy is not yet 100% house trained, he is getting better and will do great if he is placed on a schedule. He needs to spend some more time learning to walk on a leash currently it is like walking a fish out of water - he does better when he is walked with other dogs and his foster family is working on this.
Rudy does awesome with other dogs of all sizes and would do best in a home with another calm, stable dog (or 2). He chases the cat in his foster home, but more in a playful way (only one in the house his size).
This little guy should not go to a home with kids under 10 as the chaos of small children overwhelms him. He’d do great in most any household that is willing to work on his potty training and take him to an obedience class to build up his social and training skills. With a little work this boy will take the world by storm.
