My story

Mocha is a very sweet, VERY high energy 7-month old male Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound mix who weighs about 50 pounds. Mocha was abandoned by his previous family after they moved. He was taken in after a good Samaritan noticed him sleeping on the front porch of his old home in desperation. Despite this sad start, he is the sweetest dog! He has never met a stranger, human or canine. When he's not going running with his foster mom, Mocha likes playing with his Kong and cuddling. Mocha needs a lot of running and playing, though, and would probably do best in a home with a yard and another doggie playmate.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
