WE NEED YOUR HELP: Mildred arrived at a local shelter in labor, severely dehydrated and very skinny. Thanks to wonderful volunteers we were able to rush her to our vet. By the time she arrived she had given birth to 9 puppies but they were all very weak. Only 3 survived so far and they are still very weak.. One in particular is not doing too well. We need everyone to send strength and love to the tiny puppies fighting. Mom is incredibly sweet and a great mom but we think her conditions before birth caused a lot of stress on the puppies. UPDATE: Unfortunately, all but one of Mildred's pups have made it to this point. Mildred herself is slowly gaining strength. She is about 5-6 years old and strong HW Positive. Mildred will continue to recover until she is able to undergo heartworm treatment.
