My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Walk like an Egyptian..........."

Adopted - March 2015

I'm Alamir!

I am a 4 month old (born October 2014) male street dog/mix from Egypt. I will be neutered next week, vaccinated and am house trained. I will be ready to go to my forever home around the 1st week of March.

Let me tell you our story......

Once upon a time in a land far far away 3 little puppies were born. Myself, my sister Nishem and my sister Layla to a wonderful mama named Heart. Then someone evil came along and hurt our mama real bad...sniff sniff ....(thankfully she's gonna be ok, she went to a land called America where she is healing and doing well). Along came a real nice lady from a place called the "Egyptian Society for Mercy of Animals" and took us in. Now they knew that being street dogs we would never be adopted out of the shelter and would spend the rest of our lives there. I don't really understand why....but it is what it is.

ESMA set out on a mission to find us a home no matter how far away. They found one in a land called Canada. All the arrangements were made and at the last minute the plans fell thru. They were devastated. We were already on our way so they sent out a desperate plea for help! They believed in miracles and they were right. A real nice lady answered their call for help and not only drove to the airport in Toronto to pick us up but has also been fostering us! See, Angels really do exist!

So our foster Mama knew she couldn't keep all of us so she asked the kind people at Muskoka Animal Rescue if they could help her out. Tho' they usually don’t do this kind of thing they knew they could not abandon us (whew!) and decided that they could not let me and my siblings down. We had traveled so far!

So here we are in Muskoka! On the drive from the airport we were lookin' at all this white stuff on the ground and thought it was so cool that there were lots of beaches here...well let me tell you it's NOT a beach! That white stuff is COLD! Our first day out and about was freezing....this is gonna take a little getting used to but it's so worth it!

My siblings and I could not be more thankful to ESMA & MAR for giving us a chance at a happy ending. Hopefully we'll find a forever home real soon........dreams really can come true!

Adoption fees:
Puppies: $400 (includes spay/neuter, de-worm, and all vaccinations as well as a portion of the fee will be sent back to ESMA in Egypt)
