Rambo's Story...
Rambo is one of the four, horribly neglected dogs we saved from a high-kill pound where they were going to be euthanized because they had mange. They have received excellent medical care and are now ready to find great forever homes! Rambo is a middle-aged gentleman who has charmed his foster mom with his loving ways. He loves to snuggle under the covers and roll over at her feet for a belly rub. He is very well behaved in the house and would be perfect for anyone who wants a calm, affectionate dog who does not need a lot of exercise. Rambo weighs about 20 pounds.

A $175 donation ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heart worm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rambo, a Staunton Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
