Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Xena is a 1 year old female Corgi/Black Lab mix who is very sweet and has a fun and quirky personality. She was rescued from the euthanasia list at the county pound, which she was on because she was very, very fearful of people. We have worked with her closely and she is coming out of her shell very nicely. She loves other dogs and cats and doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. Even though she's shy, she doesn't growl or snap at all (like some fearful dogs do). She is a unique-looking dog with a long Corgi body, low to the ground.
Xena is housebroken and crate trained. She is learning to walk on the leash but doesn't love it yet - she prefers to run around in the yard. Xena's perfect home would include someone with patience who is willing to spend a lot of time with her and work on gaining her trust. She enjoys the company of people but doesn't yet feel comfortable with sitting on anyone's lap (although she will sleep in a bed with human - go figure!). She is a very laid back dog who would love to sleep at your feet while you're watching TV. One day soon, Xena will live up to her name of a warrior princess.
