Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet McDougal, our spunky little shih tzu. He is about 5-6 years old and weighs about 8 -10 pounds. This little dude loves to dance and twirl for his treats. He is a good traveler, loves being in the car. He is an independent dog, but he likes to be around his people. He prefers to be next to them, and around them, versus being held and cuddled. He is potty trained and crate trained. He knows some basic obedience and will sit for his treat! He loves being outside, exploring everything, and running around and playing. He will require grooming. We are looking for a family /person that can respect his likes and dislikes, and not be demanding of him. He likes his personal space, and doesn't like when people put their faces, next to his. We are looking for a home without children, because sometimes they do not understand boundaries. As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip (with lifetime registration), and be spayed/neutered. If the dog is not spayed or neutered at time of adoption, the adopter will be responsible to transport the dog, to and from dropoff/pickup point. Each dog will receive 6 mths of heartworm preventative medication. You will receive a free bag of premium dog food, and a gift card from Choice Pet Market if you adopt at that location. You are entitled to a free physical exam with one of our vets. Each of our dogs comes with 4 training classes that are mandatory to attend. These classes take place at Choice Pet Market on a Tues or Wed evening from 6-7 pm, and will be scheduled after adoption.
