My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Nemo! I am a very handsome little Chihuahua about 3 years old. I am learning to trust, and after a few weeks in my foster home I have made myself very comfortable. Although it took me that long to warm up to my foster mom, we are best friends now! I haven't had many people who love me as much as I love them, so it took some getting used to. Right now I live with 4 other dogs, but I would prefer to be an only dog and have all of the attention to myself. I haven’t been around cats so I don’t know how I would do with them.

I would do best in an adult only home, or a home with older children who understand to respect my space. I can be a such a love and will cuddle on the couch and lick your face all day long! My two favorites things are belly rubs and food. I will eat anything you give me. I do love my crate and sleep in it every night, just give me a bone and a nice blanket and I'll be happy.

I am almost fully potty trained but I wasn't given a chance to learn all my basic commands yet so I will need some help with that. I will benefit from some formal dog training and socialization with other people and dogs. I had a knee surgery over the winter and I'm feeling great now!

My foster mom says that once you see me you will fall right in love with me! I would be so lucky to get adopted into a loving home like yours. Can I please be your next companion???

If you are interested in finding out more about Nemo, please fill out an application. Nemo is being fostered in East Brookfield.

The adoption fee is $350.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
