Poor Virginia has been with us for a year waiting for someone to notice her...we rescued her from a local shelter where she was slated for euthanasia because she was a "big black shy dog" that the staff thought no one would want to adopt. Virginia's starting to worry that they may have been right:( We've only had 3 inquiries on her in the past year and they never followed through. She's likely a mix of a few breeds- we see a little dobie, rottie, labby, pittie... and about 50lbs full grown and about 18 months old now. She is very timid and fearful at first with strangers but once she bonds she is a sweet, submissive, playful best friend. She loves playing with other dogs and is more confident with a compatible doggie friend to follow, and would love to find a calmer adult household with another friendly dog. We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.
