My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maxwell is a 10 year old terrier mix that came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great home of his own. He had a home, but he was turned in by his owner because Maxwell developed a tumor by his rear end. Maxwell underwent surgery to remove the tumor, which was benign, and also had several teeth removed that were neglected over the years. He is doing great now and has a clean bill of health. He is such a spunky and fun-loving guy! He came bopping off the transport van, tail wagging, and woofing along like he owned the place. He makes friends very easily and seems to love everyone he meets. He even gets along just fine with most dogs. Maxwell is energetic and loves to check things out while out for a walk. He walks on a leash like a perfect gentleman, but could use some manners when taking treats. He's just a little grabby, but hey, the guy wants his treat! He's very polite with food, toys, etc. and has no possessive tendencies whatsoever. Please don't be put off by his age, Maxwell has plenty of great years ahead of him! This happy little guy is ready to start over with a wonderful family that will never give up on him again. File#24440 2/25/15
