Rural King - 430 Oberlin Rd, Elyria, OH 44035
Princess grew up in a home with 4 other canine siblings and most likely a heavy-handed man. The male owner shot his wife in the leg. This resulted in the dogs having to go to the pound while the wife recovered and the man was in his own version of a kennel. The wife reclaimed 2 of the dogs, but poor Princess was one left behind.
She is a total lover who thinks she is a lap dog and just wants to snuggle. She is working on learning basic manners. She just jump up when excited to see you or wants to know what you are doing on the counter. The foster home is currently working on teaching her 4 feet are better than 2! She gets along great with the foster home's cat, other dogs and even the men in the house despite living with probably not so nice of a guy for her first year of life. She is house trained and crate trained but does show some anxiety about being in the crate. Our guess is she was crated a lot in her previous home. She likes to chew on her dog bone and play with stuff toys. She is fearful of children so we are asking for an adult only home. Children visitors are fine as long as they know to respect her space. She is not a dog that children need to be hugging or interacting with as this causes her great stress.
