Aroo! My name is Baxter and I am an 8 week old beagle mix pup that came from a home in West Virginia that was filled with too many dogs. Unfortunately, the person who owned the dogs was unable to keep them, so they all had to find other places to live. Lots of people worked very hard to connect with Beagle Rescue Groups that were willing to rescue the dogs and find them new homes. In January, Penny Angels agreed to take several beagles from that home, and my mom (Mrs. Brown) was one of them. The day before she was set to travel to NJ, my mom gave birth to her pups.... I guess we just couldn’t wait! We all traveled together to NJ as planned and have been with Penny Angels the whole time. We love each other and enjoy playing together, but now that we are getting older, we have to start looking for our new homes.
I am a cute boy that will be lots of fun to have in your home! I come from the same litter as Brody, but I look very different from him; I have very curly hair and only weigh 5 lbs. My mom weighs 18 lbs., but I never met my dad, so I’m not sure how much I will weigh when I get older. I am not neutered yet, but will need to be neutered at a later date by PABR. My new owners must be local adopters and they will need to sign a contract with PABR. After I am neutered, I will go right back to my new family! I will need some help with house training and learning basic rules so that I can grow up to be a well-mannered adult. I will be at Petsmart in Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday from 11- 3 pm if you want to meet me. If you would like to adopt me and you are willing to make a lifetime commitment to me, please contact Penny Angels and fill out an application; you will need to be pre-approved before we can go home together.
