My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ozzy is around 4 years young and weighs 12#. Before coming to DREAM he was kept outside in a yard and never allowed to come inside. Luckily, a nice neighbor lady helped Ozzy come to DREAM. Ozzy is a sweet, loving guy who loves to be with his human. He is very friendly but can be unsure of some men and is working on not being possessive in small spaces. He plays well with other small dogs. He is almost house trained and will do best in a quiet home with someone who is home a lot to help him master going outside to use the potty.

If you are interested in adopting Ozzy, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Ozzy 's adoption fee is $350. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Ozzy will go to his new home microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
