Danielle's Story...
Danielle is a very sweet, very shy little short-hair gray mackerel tabby with white face and green eyes. She was adopted from PFOA as a teenager 10 years ago. Always on the shy side, since losing her home and making another move before coming to Safe Haven, Danielle is now very worried and retiring. She is affectionate and sweet, but spends a lot of time in a safe hide-out–often with her best buddy, Gato. She does not get along well with dogs, but loves her best buddy – she is totally dependent on him, and Gato takes his protective role very seriously. The two cats must stay together, and would love nothing better than to find that purrfect forever family. If you have room for a super-friendly guy and his super-shy friend, then this is the pair for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Danielle, a Port Angeles Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Port Angeles, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Port Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
